The Madison County Democratic Women's division was organized in 1961 by women who supported the ideals articulated by President John F. Kennedy. Membership is open to women (and men) who pledge to uphold the principles of the Democratic Party and work for the election of Democratic candidates.

The objectives of MCDWD are:

  1. To suport the prinicples of the Democratic Party.
  2. To work for the election of Democratic nominees.
  3. To initiate and carry out programs and projects on behalf of the Democratic Party and its nominees. 

How to get involved!

We hold regular luncheon meetings at noon on the first Thursday of:

  • January
  • February
  • March
  • April
  • September
  • October
  • November

Registration begins at 11:30am and lunch is at noon.  We always have an entertaining and informative speaker who addresses local, state, and/or national issues.

The John F. Kennedy Scholarship Dinner is the first Thursday in May.  At that time, we award a college scholarship to the Madison County high school student who wrote the winning essay in our annual competition.

The annual Membership Coffee is the first Saturday in December.
